Is spring here in Minnesota ever going to grace us with some sunshine & warm(er) weather?  I check the 5 day forecast on my phone about 7 times a day, just crossing my fingers that the rain drops will be replaced by a sunshine!  It will get here one of these days; I have hope!!  Kicking off our spring weddings, we had a lovely one last Saturday at the Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis.  Such a gorgeous venue! I had been looking forward to this wedding for quite a while!  The bride's color palette was white, blush, pink & GOLD!  Nothing brightens up cloudy days better than those colors.
We wanted to share the inspiration board we put together at the beginning of the planning stages as well as some of our favorite iphone pictures of the flowers.  What are your favorite spring colors?

You remember this engagment shoot I did with Heidi of Heidi Lynn Photography & Maureen, hair and makeup guru last winter?  We are giving away another styled engagement session that we will be shooting in the spring!!  So excited to have the opportunity to do this again.  Engagement sessions are so much fun and a great opportunity for you as a couple to get some time in front of the camera before your wedding.

welcome spring

The other day I decided it was finally time to change my "winter" mantel to something a little more "springy". Since it's April and getting sunny and everything.  The good thing was the grocery store flower selection was cooperating when I made this decision and they had some beautiful orange & yellow ranunculus...they even had some of this cool green stuff called dianthus!

Here's a picture of my pinecones.  They were my favorite this year and after I used them for a Christmas party, I just couldn't put them away.

It's fun right, but we need something a little more bright for this time of the year....Enter white milk glass, orange flowers and pops of turquoise...
